missions and ministries that can fulfill your desire to serve "the least of these" in the name of our Lord. These include ASPAN (Arlington Street People Assistance Network),
AFAC (Arlington Food Assistance Center), Transformers, CrossLink, Meals on Wheels, TACTS (Arlington Community Temporary Shelter),
and World Changers, to name just a few.

| Transformers -- Transformers is a Virginia Baptist ministry in which believers come together for three days each June to rehabilitate housing in economically depressed regions of the commonwealth. Despite our moderate size, Memorial usually sends the largest contingent of workers each year. Whether you're a skilled handyman or handywoman, or just want to help carry tools and materials, this ministry has proven to be extremely rewarding for participants and recipients alike. |

| Arlington Street People Assistance Network -- Members and friends of Memorial prepare meals for Arlington's homeless twice a month. One meal is prepared on a Friday afternoon and the other is prepared on a Sunday afternoon, and each is delivered directly to homeless and needy people at two locations. Both the Friday and Sunday cooking teams can always use some extra hands to help prepare and serve the meals, which takes only a few hours each month. |
