Praising with a Joyful Sound
Music and song moves us in ways we often can not explain. God has given us the gift of music and we at Memorial believe in sharing this gift in worship and activities. Our church is blessed with a host of talented individuals with wonderful voices and special musical abilities. We welcome participation from all who want to serve the church and glorify the Lord through music worship leadership.
What do you play? Do you love singing? Come and find out how your talent can help us praise the Lord.
Memorial's Sanctuary Choir sings at the 11:00am worship service and performs exceptional music throughout the year. Special music services are performed at Easter and Christmas as well as service/performance opportunities at Sunrise .
The choir rehearses on Wednesday nights from 7:15 to 8:30pm.
LifeLine is the praise band that leads our 8:30am contemporary service in the sanctuary. Acoustic guitars, bass, drums, keyboard and vocalists provide the foundation for our "joyful noise."
LifeLine rehearses Thursdays at 8:00pm.
LifeLine has a debut Self-titled album "LifeLine" that you can listen to online and that you can pick up at the church.
The Children's Choir performs at the 8:30am and 11:00am worship services as a group or with the adult choir. Quarterly the group performs at Sunrise Assisted Living Center on Glebe Road. This semester the Children's Choir studies old and new hymns, such as "The Servant Song" and "Make a Joyful Noise."
Rehearsals are held on Wednesday nights from 6:15 – 7:30pm in the Media Center. Children from MBC and the community from 1st to 5th grade are welcome to participate in the choir.
Please contact director Jessica Brewer to learn about or participate in this important ministry.
MBC Instrumentalists are individuals that help lead our worship. We are proud to have as a part of our music ministry those who play French Horn, Clarinet, Violin, Flute, Drums, Guitar, Bass and Trumpet. These individuals play for special events, accompany hymns, play offertories, and accompany our other ensembles.
