Building Christian Communities

A big part of Memorial Baptist Church is building communities that care about one another. There are several communities you can get involved in.

  • Women @ Memorial

    Once a quarter

The lovely and fabulously fun ladies of Memorial gather once a quarter for fellowship and fun! From teenage gals to senior ladies, our goal is to foster intergenerational friendships and get to know one another. Fellowship events are also a wonderful way to welcome newer ladies.

    Women's Retreat

    Once Every Summer

About fifteen years ago, the Women of Memorial began holding a summer retreat. The retreats have been in the Washington, DC area, at Capon Springs, and at Shrinemount. Speakers have included Cessie Howell, Jan Murthie (on a mission to Russia), and women of the church staff, most recent being Katie McKown.

The format for the retreats incorporates time for fellowship, recreation, and devotions. Time management, spiritual formation, Bible study, missions, and prayer are some of the devotional topics we have covered at the retreats.

Please contact or for additional information and how to sign up for the next women's retreat.
